FKM has low gas permeability. This property makes it a good selection for high vacuum applications. This fluorocarbon has excellent chemical resistance over a wide temperature range (-20°C to 200°C). Resists aliphatic and aromatic compounds, but not recommended for use with ketones, esters and ethers. FKM is a copolymer of hexafluoropropylene and 1, 1-difluoroethylene and has good mechanical and electrical properties.
