Filter Capsule, 36 mm dia, PTFE Membrane, Polypropylene Housing, 0.2 µm Pore Size, 0.5" Stepped Barb for 10 to 12 mm Tubing Inlet and Outlet Connections, 500 cm2 Filtration Area, 60 psi Operating Pressure, Non-sterile, Autoclavable
GE's Whatman Polycap TF filters are made with durable, hydrophobic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membranes in a polypropylene housing for use with organic solvents and chemically aggressive solutions. Filtration of organic solvents and aggressive solutions requires a durable membrane for filtration without sample contamination. Autoclavable Polycap TF capsule filters feature PTFE membranes with high chemical resistance. Common applications include venting, in-line filtration to sterilize and remove particles from air/gas/liquid streams, filtration to ensure clean inert gases in vial filling lines, and isolation of exhaust from fermenters.
