Blotting Membrane, 20 x 20 cm, 0.2 µm Pore Size, Neutral Nylon, 400 µg/cm2 Binding Capacity, Sheet, Whatman® Nytran™ N is Moderately Charged, Compatible with Isotopic and Non-isotopic Detection Methods, For Southern and Northern Blotting
Whatman® Nytran™ N membranes are designed for Southern and Northern blotting. Whatman Nytran nylon membranes are available in two formats: Whatman® Nytran™ N is moderately charged and Nytran SuPerCharge (SPC) has a very high positive charge. Whatman Nytran nylon membranes are suitable for applications that require a lower charge. They are designed for Southern and Northern blotting as well as colony and plaque lifts and dot-/slot-blots. Whatman® Nytran™ N is compatible with isotopic and non-isotopic detection methods. Whatman® Nytran™ N membrane allows for excellent signal-to-noise ratios. The membrane is cast uniformly on both sides of a support matrix, demonstrating excellent symmetry. This gives the membrane the ability to lie flat without curling. Whatman® Nytran™ N membrane is a highly consistent membrane with uniform pore size and distribution. It is available in 0.2 µm and 0.45 µm pore sizes for optimal retention of oligos and larger DNA fragments.
