Crucible, 25 ml, 33 OD x 29 mm Depth, Inconel Alloy 601, Straight Wall, 0.04" Thickness, Excellent Resistance to Oxidation in the 1000 to 1200°C Temperature Range, Good Corrosion Resistance to Many Acid and Aqueous Salt Solutions
Inconel alloy 601 has excellent resistance to oxidation in the 1000°C to 1200°C temperature range and also has good corrosion resistance to many acid and aqueous salt solutions. This high resistance to oxidation, carburization or sulfidation makes Inconel alloy 601 well suited for determining moisture, volatiles, fix-carbon and ash in most coal and coke products, or wood pulp or fiber. The alloy is well suited for use with sodium hydroxide solutions and exhibits good resistance to nitric acid and low concentrations of phosphoric acid. It is also unaffected by rapid changes from hot to cold and retains its mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. Strong alkaline or oxidizing fusions are not recommended with Inconel alloy 601.
