Ahlstrom chromatography, electrophoresis and blotting papers are made from high purity and 100% FDA compliant alpha cotton cellulose, using ultra-pure RO water and contain no additives that could cause increased backgrounds or other interference in detection systems. Thick papers are 100% cotton grades that are used in chromatography techniques where solutes are heavily loaded. Thick papers are ideal grades for electrophoresis techniques. This super thick grade is one of the thickest papers on the market. Ahlstrom 320 offers extremely high flow and is recommended both for electrophoresis of large molecules and as a blotter to complete the blotting sandwich in gel transfer applications. Ahlstrom 320 provides a smooth and uniform texture assuring continuous contact of buffer from the chamber through the gel and transfer membrane to the opposite pole or weight.
